Welcome to Black Architects in the Making (BAM) - Orlando! Our brand is dedicated to enticing, exciting, and encouraging the younger generation of color to pursue a career in architecture. We believe in promoting diversity in the architectural community and raising public awareness and appreciation of the built environment. At BAM, we offer a range of services and products to achieve our mission.
We host focused workshops, site visits, and hands-on development opportunities to provide valuable industry knowledge and practical skills. Additionally, we provide internships and scholarships for architectural education, ensuring that aspiring architects have the support they need to succeed. Our 2023 board members are a group of accomplished professionals who bring expertise and passion to our organization.
From Malcolm Jones, our Chair and Florida International University alum, to Seher Hashmi, our Historian with a master's degree from the University of Cincinnati, our team is committed to empowering and inspiring the next generation of architects.
