DAS BAND – gemeinsam vielfältig is a Vienna-based organisation supporting people with disabilities and people with mental health conditions. Its vision is to help people lead self-determined lives, with services designed to encourage participation, meaningful activity and individual choice.
The organisation’s day-structure programmes offer varied activities for people who are temporarily or permanently unable to participate in the regular labour market. Its range includes creative and classical programme areas, as well as Klartext-Service and a DPD Pickup Shop. Through these activities, participants can take part in different tasks and develop responsibility in a supportive setting.
DAS BAND also provides supported living through both fully supported and partially supported accommodation. In addition, it undertakes contract work and places strong emphasis on working with businesses across a variety of industries. The organisation also offers information about getting started with its services, employment opportunities, internships, civilian service and voluntary social years. Based at Witzelsbergergasse in Vienna’s 15th district, DAS BAND brings together support, daily activities and collaboration under its message of diversity and shared participation.
