About Bandera Electric Cooperative
Bandera Electric Cooperative (BEC) is a locally owned and operated cooperative proudly distributing electricity to over 28,000 members and over 39,000 active meters across seven counties in Central Texas. With a mission of lighting the grid to empower its members and a vision of Reimagining Rural America, BEC offers a variety of services including electric service, fiber internet service, energy services, community involvement, and more. The cooperative is democratically governed by a board of directors elected by the members to represent their voice in the business of the cooperative, ensuring legal and ethical operation in accordance with its bylaws and code of ethics.
