Bandlkramer Ballooning GmbH offers hot-air balloon experiences in the Waldviertel region of Austria and at several other locations. Based in Groß-Siegharts, the company builds on a local ballooning tradition dating back to the founding of the First Waldviertel Ballooning Club in 1983; the GmbH was established in 2021 to further develop these activities.
Passengers can take morning or evening flights, enjoy views from up to 3,000 metres, and take part in the experience from preparing the balloon through landing and the traditional balloonist’s baptism. The company’s pilots and ground crew explain the process and invite passengers to help prepare the balloon. Seasonal flight locations include Groß-Siegharts, Krems, Melk, Filzmoos and Stubenberg, with an Alpine crossing also offered. Flights can be booked through the online shop, and gift vouchers are available. Bandlkramer Ballooning also provides group and corporate offers, including discounts for groups of four or more. The company additionally trains aspiring pilots and takes part in national and international competitions.
