Elisabeth Rehn – Bank of Ideas is an independent and non-profit security policy think tank founded in 2015. This Finnish-based organization is dedicated to producing rigorous research data to support decision-making and encourage social participation among citizens. With a focus on comprehensive security and peace work, especially in the Baltic Sea region, the think tank continues the valuable legacy of Minister Elisabeth Rehn.

Their central principle is to empower young people in influencing security policy. Notably, the Think Tank conducted an extensive report on citizen services supporting overall security and an influential report on security cooperation between Estonia, Finland, and Sweden. These projects were led by a team of active members, including researchers and experts in communication, foreign, and security policy.

By utilizing co-research and co-development methods, the think tank provides an interdisciplinary approach to generate new knowledge and contribute to political decision-making. With Minister Elisabeth Rehn as their mentor, the Bank of Ideas strives to promote comprehensive defense, security, and peacebuilding in Finland and the Nordic region
