About Bannau Brycheiniog
Bannau Brycheiniog National Park Authority is dedicated to protecting and preserving the natural beauty of the park. Established in 1957, our mission is to ensure visitors can enjoy and understand the park, while fostering the well-being of the local community. Over the next 20 years, we have a clear vision for the park, guiding our strategic efforts.
The park is administered by a dedicated National Park Authority consisting of 18 members, over 100 staff, and volunteers who contribute their time and expertise. We work closely with 9 Unitary Authorities to ensure the effective management of the park. As the planning authority, we oversee all planning matters within the park, while Unitary Authorities manage other local government services.
At Bannau Brycheiniog, we conduct our business in compliance with regulations and protocols to ensure transparency and accountability. You can visit our head office at Plas y Ffynnon Cambrian Way Brecon Powys LD3 7HP or contact us via telephone at 01874 624437 or email. We also offer an online shop where you can find maps, guides, and more to enhance your visit to the park.
