About Banned Books Week
Banned Books Week is an annual event that celebrates the freedom to read and promotes access to information. Supported by a coalition of organizations dedicated to free expression, the event aims to raise awareness about censorship and the importance of open access to literature. The coalition includes prominent organizations such as the American Booksellers for Free Expression, American Library Association, Amnesty International USA, and Comic Book Legal Defense Fund, among others.
