Bannerman Auctions

Bannerman Auctions is a specialist auction house focused on historic artifacts, particularly military antiques and material culture. It presents auctions as a way for collectors, museums, dealers, and families to help preserve objects and the historical lessons they represent. The company emphasizes stewardship and scholarship, seeking to maintain the integrity of collections and archives where practicable.

Its sales feature items from a wide range of periods and countries, including uniforms, helmets, edged weapons, medals, equipment, photographs, documents, firearms, and aviation-related artifacts. Past results include Civil War objects and extensive collections from the First and Second World Wars, while upcoming sales may bring together hundreds of carefully described lots. Bannerman offers services for both buyers and sellers, including opportunities to bid, consign a collection, or sell items directly.

Its website provides upcoming and past auction information, registration, results, and email alerts with previews and updates. The firm also acknowledges that some historical objects may contain sensitive material, presenting them for their historical and educational value rather than as endorsements
