Banpresto WFC

Banpresto World Figure Colosseum (BWFC) is an international sculpting competition that brings together figure sculptors to showcase their craft. It grew from the Banpresto Figure Colosseum, a Japanese competition launched in 2010 that judged creators on the quality and artistry of their sculpted forms. In 2017, the event expanded beyond Japan, inviting sculptors from around the world to compete. The tournament celebrates the skill, creativity and pride involved in figure making, with contestants creating character figures and competing for recognition.

BWFC features figures based on popular series including Dragon Ball Super, One Piece and My Hero Academia. Its website highlights challengers, competition results, event appearances, episodes and news. Figures are displayed at events and exhibitions, with some appearances featuring painted, or color, models. The 2019 edition marked the competition’s tenth anniversary and brought together acclaimed sculptors, including creators holding the “Master” title, for works described as the largest and highest-quality in the tournament’s history.
