BAPSciences

The Belgian Association for Psychological Sciences (BAPS) is a national association that brings together people interested in the development and application of psychological science in Belgium. It represents Belgian psychological scientists at national, European, and international levels, and works to connect researchers and support them at different stages of their careers. BAPS offers membership with benefits at minimal cost, alongside opportunities to join its expert list and research internship network.

The association supports the field through awards for outstanding bachelor’s and master’s theses, PhD research, posters, and early-career contributions. It also provides grants for workshops and meetings in Belgium that advance psychological science and its applications. BAPS organizes an annual meeting and shares news, interviews, and information about initiatives across the research community. Its official journal, Psychologica Belgica, publishes peer-reviewed research online as open-access articles, available without charge. Governed by an Executive Committee representing Belgian universities and areas of psychology, BAPS also has a Junior Board that brings together master’s students, PhD candidates, and postdoctoral scholars from across the country.
