Barcelona Design Week (BDW) is an annual celebration of design and creativity, established in 2006 by the Barcelona Design Center. This dynamic event serves as a platform for inspiration, education, and mobilization within both local and global communities. In 2024, BDW will adopt the theme "Design for Human Future," with a particular focus on water management and conservation. The week-long celebration showcases how conscious design and creativity can address pressing challenges, particularly in environmental sustainability.

As a proud member of the World Design Weeks Network, BDW connects nearly 40 international design events, highlighting Barcelona's significance in the global design discourse. The event is organized and directed by the Barcelona Design Center in collaboration with the City Council of Barcelona and partners such as FAD (Foment de les Arts i el Disseny) and Disseny Hub Barcelona (DHub). BDW invites participation from a diverse array of sponsors, collaborators, and designers, making it a crucial hub for innovation and creativity in the design sector.
