Barcode Architects

Barcode Architects is an international architecture and contemporary design practice led by Dirk Peters, with a multidisciplinary team of architects, urban designers and technologists. The Rotterdam-based office works across architecture, urbanism and design, creating concept-led projects intended to transform and revitalize their surroundings. Its portfolio spans urban masterplans, mixed-use public buildings, major infrastructure, and high-end residential and office towers. The studio’s process combines experimentation with function and form to develop site-specific designs, often incorporating an unexpected twist.

Projects featured by the practice include Sluishuis in Amsterdam, CasaNova and The Muse in Rotterdam, Stadtforum Dresden, Station Groningen, Taiwan Tower and the Rijnhaven Rotterdam masterplan. Its work also includes residential developments, offices, public buildings and educational projects. Barcode Architects contributes at multiple scales, from shaping urban areas to designing individual buildings and their surrounding spaces. The practice’s international portfolio reflects its focus on ambitious projects that bring new life to places and create engaging environments for the people who use them.
