Barefoot Ken

Barefoot Ken is the outdoor-adventure brand and personal platform of Ken, a writer whose path from the Army, Wall Street, and Corporate America led him toward a life more closely connected with nature. He shares stories and perspectives drawn from peak-bagging, bushwhacking, barefooting, and other outdoor adventures, with the aim of offering experiences that may be useful to fellow explorers.

The site brings together Ken’s books, including Chasing the Grid and other titles, as well as articles, media appearances, event information, photographs, blog posts, and a project focused on 1,000 mountains. Visitors can learn more about Ken, explore his outdoor writing, contact him about general inquiries or interviews, and subscribe to his monthly newsletter.

Ken also supports trail access, land conservation, and stewardship through volunteer and board roles. He serves with the New York-New Jersey Trail Conference, which builds and maintains public hiking trails, and Run Wild, Inc., which raises funds for conservation in the Hudson Valley through running races and other activities. He also supports several regional conservation organizations.
