Barhufbearbeitung Antje Hobohm provides method-open barefoot hoof care for horses, with an approach focused on healthy, balanced hooves and the individual needs of each animal. The practice uses methods including F-Balance and Natural Hoof Care (NHC), selecting and adapting care according to the horse’s limb conformation, hoof flexibility, and particular requirements.

F-Balance uses natural reference points in the hoof capsule to support medio-lateral balance and account for the hoof’s longitudinal flexibility. NHC draws on observations of free-living American mustangs and the hoof’s natural capacity to recover. Both approaches avoid invasive trimming of the sole and intact frog, as well as shaping the hoof simply to meet an idealized appearance. Major stance corrections are avoided; adjustments are made according to the horse’s needs, allowing time for the body and hooves to adapt.
