Barhufteam

The Barhufteam is a Swiss horse hoof-care service led by Linda Bönzli, who has more than 20 years of experience caring for unshod horses. Its work focuses on barefoot hoof trimming and support for owners seeking guidance on hoof health. The team serves clients in the cantons of Aargau, Basel-Stadt, Basel-Landschaft, Bern, Fribourg, Neuchâtel, Lucerne, Solothurn, Vaud and Zurich, with appointments arranged by phone or email.

The website also shares information gathered over many years about common hoof conditions and their care. Topics include acute and chronic laminitis, hoof abscesses, white line disease, thrush, hoof cracks, conformational issues and other problems, as well as barefoot transitions, hoof soaking and feeding former laminitis cases. The team previously operated a station for horses with hoof problems, which closed in 2019; during its decade of operation, more than 350 horses were discharged in good health. Linda and her sister Eva also run a retirement pasture in Bösingen, currently home to around 30 horses.
