About Barjeel Art Foundation
Barjeel Art Foundation is an independent initiative based in the United Arab Emirates, dedicated to managing, preserving, and exhibiting the personal art collection of Sultan Sooud Al Qassemi. With a focus on Arab art, the foundation showcases the rich artistic diversity of the Arab world through its impressive collection. One of their upcoming exhibitions, titled Kawkaba or constellation in Arabic, is a collaboration between Barjeel Art Foundation and Christie's, UK.
Curated by Dr Ridha Moumni, Deputy Chairman of Christie’s MENA, this exhibition brings together over 100 works from the region, celebrating the diverse artistic voices of West Asia and North Africa. In addition to their exhibitions, Barjeel Art Foundation also offers art loans, providing the opportunity for art enthusiasts and institutions to access and showcase their remarkable collection. They also organize various events and initiatives that promote Arab art, such as the Mudun Short Story Prize and the Barjeel Poetry Prize.
Experience the beauty and cultural significance of Arab art by visiting their exhibition at the Sharjah Art Museum. Please note that opening times may vary during public holidays and Ramadan
