Barkanmethod

The Barkan Method is a style of Hatha Yoga that originated from a lineage in Calcutta, India. Founded by Jimmy Barkan, who was first certified by Ghosh's College of India, and was also Bikram Yoga's most senior teacher, the Barkan Method integrates postures from various styles of yoga to create variations, versatility, and increased range of motion. The yoga classes offered by the Barkan Method are practiced in a heated room, allowing for effective stretching and strengthening of different areas of the body.

This practice brings vital balance and restores all systems to optimal health. The Barkan Method focuses on three key aspects: physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. The yoga asanas are designed to improve internal organ function as well as enhance joint, muscle, tendon, and ligament strength.

Mentally, this method helps eliminate stress, depression, anxiety, and other mental disorders by strengthening the mind through discipline. Spiritually, the Barkan Method creates an opening of the spine and central nervous system, fostering healing, balance, and personal growth. In addition to yoga classes, the Barkan Method also offers comprehensive teacher training programs at both Level I and Level II/III, providing aspiring teachers with the skills and knowledge to share this transformative practice with others.

Experience the transformative power of the Barkan Method and embark on a journey of physical, mental, and spiritual harmony that will positively impact all aspects of your life
