Barking Cat Farm

Barking Cat Farm is a small specialty farm in West Tawakoni, Texas, run by Laurie Bostic and Kim Martin. Farming with organic methods since 2004, the team helps home gardeners, farmers, and landowners improve growing results through a focus on soil health and biology. Its services include soil biology testing, soil testing and consulting, hands-on training, classes, and permaculture design. The farm also offers tours, on-farm dinners, private events, and a speakers bureau, sharing its knowledge and enthusiasm for organic growing.

Alongside its educational and consulting work, Barking Cat Farm makes small-batch, handmade products, including food items such as toffee and crispy almonds. These products are available through the farm’s website and at local markets. The farm’s approach reflects its belief in the value of fresh, locally grown food, flavorful crops, flowers, and healthy soil. By combining practical services with community experiences and handcrafted goods, Barking Cat Farm encourages people to grow nourishing food while caring for the soil and environment.
