Barnabas & Ruth Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization focused on helping families cope with and heal from addiction-related trauma. Its mission is to provide financial assistance and counseling services to addicts’ families and loved ones, supporting them as they repair and strengthen their relationships. The foundation’s vision is to foster healthy family reconnections that contribute to a stronger recovery journey for people battling addiction.

The organization is led by founder Ernest “Buddy” Prow, a Georgia-based licensed professional counselor and certified master addiction counselor. His background includes case management, youth ministry, family and addiction counseling, and leading therapeutic services. In 2019, he also founded The Counselor’s Nest in Toccoa to serve families.

Barnabas & Ruth shares resources and addiction statistics, publishes a newsletter, and provides information about its services through its website. It also invites community members to support its work through donations and other forms of involvement. By combining counseling with financial assistance, the foundation aims to help loved ones remain connected and support families through the challenges of addiction and recovery.
