Barnvaktsbyrån is a family-run childcare service based in Stockholm, helping families find trusted, well-matched babysitters. With long experience in childcare, the company supports families from the first conversation about their needs through introductions and follow-up, aiming to build lasting relationships between children, parents and babysitters.

Its services are tailored to each family’s routines and preferences, with flexible arrangements and a consistent babysitter wherever possible. The matching process begins with a personal consultation, followed by an introduction so the family and babysitter can meet before care starts. The company also offers a gradual settling-in period, giving children, parents and babysitters time to get acquainted.

Barnvaktsbyrån’s approach, called Conscious Childcare, centres on safety, attentiveness and pedagogy. Babysitters are trained in child development, relationship-building, child first aid and safety, and receive ongoing guidance and follow-up. Care is shaped around each child’s needs, interests and daily rhythms, with play, creativity, movement and conversation forming part of the experience. The service is designed to complement family life with attentive, dependable support.
