Barösund runt

Barösund Runt is a social sailing competition organized in connection with the West Nyland Yacht Club (WNYC). Bringing together sailors and friends of the event, it combines competitive racing with opportunities to enjoy the maritime community and spend time together. The annual race takes place in Barösund, with participating boats competing for the overall win.

The event website provides information about the competition, including entrant and results details, media and photographs, sponsors, weather updates, and ways to follow the event. After racing, participants can gather for a meal at Restaurant Scola, whose terrace has hosted the post-race dinner. The organizers also acknowledge the work of the race committee, restaurant and harbor staff, and event partners.

Beyond the race, WNYC arranges member activities, including an anniversary celebration and a traditional autumn meeting where attendees look back at photographs from the season and share a meal. Barösund Runt presents sailing as both a sporting challenge and a welcoming social occasion
