Barracuda Bicycle Company was a bicycle manufacturer based in Durango, Colorado, known for producing mountain bikes during a brief period in the mid-1990s. The company is no longer in business, and its bikes have since become the focus of a fan community interested in preserving the brand’s history. The Barracuda Bicycles website is an independent fan site, not an official company outlet, created to collect and share information about the bicycles and the people involved with the business.

Its resources cover the company, bike models, comparisons, racing, restoration, and related topics, with a forum where visitors can ask questions and contribute information. The site says its historical material has been confirmed by people who worked with or for Barracuda during the 1990s. Rather than selling products or providing services on behalf of the former manufacturer, the site serves as an informational archive for enthusiasts and owners.

Its purpose is to document and maintain awareness of Barracuda’s mountain bikes and the short-lived company behind them
