Bruno Arthur Barreiro

Bruno Barreiro’s campaign represents a South Florida public servant and small business owner seeking to address affordability and community needs. A lifelong South Floridian, Barreiro began his elected career in the Florida House of Representatives in 1992, representing Miami, Key Biscayne, and Miami Beach. He later served multiple terms on the Miami-Dade Board of County Commissioners, including as its chairman, and held leadership roles in regional transportation and trade organizations.

The campaign highlights priorities including tax and fee reductions, property tax relief, affordable housing, transportation improvements, traffic and toll relief, public safety, and collaboration with residents on condominium reform. Barreiro’s record includes creating the Golden Passport program, which provides free transportation for seniors, and sponsoring an expansion of senior tax exemptions. He also founded the Barreiro Foundation, dedicated to supporting underprivileged youth and older adults. In his professional life, Barreiro is president of BABJ Investment Corporation, CEO of Fatima Home Care, and a partner at IUSA Water.
