The Barriffe Insurance Group (BIG) is a healthcare access organization focused on making timely, holistic care more affordable for people in Jamaica. It offers health subscription memberships as an alternative to traditional coverage, with plans designed around routine preventive care and selected medical expenses. The microHEALTH plan helps cover routine preventive visits and care for minor acute illnesses. microDENTAL covers biannual preventive dental cleanings and exams, while microVISION covers an annual vision screening and glasses. BIG also promotes access to mental and behavioral health services, including licensed psychiatrists, therapists, and counselors through its EAT subscription initiative.

Members can review plans, get a quote, enroll online or by phone, manage their account, and find a doctor. People without family abroad may be matched with an expatriate donor to help them enroll. BIG also shares health information through its blogs and resources, and invites the public to support its mission through donations.
