About BASICS Essex
BASICS Essex (British Association for Immediate Care Essex) is a dedicated network of volunteer emergency doctors and paramedics, providing immediate access to pre-hospital urgent medical care. Our highly trained volunteers work alongside the East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust, supporting their exceptional service. Our responders are equipped with advanced care vehicles or their own vehicles, responding promptly to incidents anywhere in Essex.
We collaborate with the British Association for Immediate Care (BASICS) to offer our volunteers specialized emergency care training. As a charity, we rely solely on grants and donations since we do not receive any statutory funding. Your support is vital in enabling us to save lives in our local community.
