The Kantonaler Fischerei Verband Basel-Stadt (KFVBS) is the cantonal fishing association for Basel-Stadt, Switzerland. Established in 1941, it brings together five fishing clubs with around 150 members and is affiliated with the Swiss Fishing Association. Its work focuses on sustainable fishing, clean and healthy waters, habitat preservation and restoration, and the care of balanced fish populations in the Rhine, Wiese and Birs. The association also supports efforts to restore migratory fish, particularly through the regional salmon project and cooperation at cantonal, national and international levels.

The KFVBS provides information about fishing in Basel-Stadt, fishing regulations and required qualifications, including the SaNa certificate. It offers annual fishing permits for the Wiese, Birs and Allschwiler Weiher, subject to membership eligibility; permits for the Rhine are available through the relevant cantonal office and the My Fish app. The association also shares its annual program, runs SaNa courses and connects anglers with local clubs, including groups for young fishers. Its member organizations promote responsible angling, community participation and respect for nature.
