About Bass&Reiner
Bass & Reiner is a dynamic exhibition space established in 2014 by Clea Massiani, Chris Grunder, Mariel Bayona, and Emily Reynolds, aimed at connecting local artists with a wider audience while showcasing artwork from beyond the Bay Area. Originally located in the Redlick building, the gallery has since evolved into a vibrant art hub, opening in March 2016 as a charter tenant of the Minnesota Street Project. The gallery plays a significant role in the contemporary art scene, presenting a diverse array of exhibitions featuring both emerging and established artists.
With a commitment to fostering artistic dialogue and expanding exposure for underrepresented talent, Bass & Reiner serves as a crucial platform for innovative art practices. Currently managed by Massiani and Grunder, the gallery continues to bridge local and international art communities, making a lasting impact on the cultural landscape of the region. The branding and visual identity of Bass & Reiner are crafted by Vissuel, reflecting the gallery's dedication to excellence in art presentation
