Bastogne Memorial

Bastogne Memorial is a nonprofit association that promotes education about contemporary history and conflicts, with a particular focus on the Second World War and the Battle of the Ardennes. Based in Bastogne, Belgium, it supports the cultural and educational activities of the city’s Second World War Memory Centre and contributes to its scientific committee. Its work also connects visitors with other historic sites and tourism partners across the battlefield.

The association offers guided visits to key Battle of the Ardennes locations, including half-day, full-day and family itineraries. It also organizes conferences, film discussions, exhibitions, colloquia and other events, and has supported historical publications. A central part of its mission is preserving Bastogne’s collections of Second World War objects, alongside materials relating to other contemporary conflicts. The association manages donations, maintains collection records and helps make selected objects available for display at the Bastogne War Museum. It also collects books and archival documents about the battle, which can be consulted by prior arrangement at the museum’s documentation centre.
