The British Association of Social Workers (BASW) is the largest professional membership organization for social work in the UK. As the independent voice of social work, BASW is dedicated to championing the profession and helping its members attain the highest professional standards. BASW offers a wide range of resources and support to social workers, including online programs, frameworks, and training courses to meet CPD requirements and further career development.

The organization is also actively involved in international work as a member of the International Federation of Social Workers. In addition, BASW provides financial support through registered charities like the Social Workers' Benevolent Trust and the Social Worker Educational Trust. Social workers can join BASW and benefit from various membership types that come with advice, representation, and professional support.

BASW is committed to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion in social work practice and conducting research to drive policy changes. With its extensive network of groups, networks, and conferences, BASW ensures that social workers across the UK have the resources and connections they need for professional growth and development
