Batalla de Rande is a long-distance open-water swimming event organised by Club Natación Batalla de Rande in the Ría de Vigo, Galicia. Its 15th edition is scheduled for 26 June 2027, covering 27 kilometres from Rodas Beach in the Cíes Islands to San Simón Island. Swimmers may take part with or without a wetsuit, and groups set off according to pace. The route crosses open water, passes beneath the Rande Bridge and continues into the San Simón inlet, with timing and course planning shaped by tides and currents.
The event coordinates its passage through the busy estuary with the maritime authorities and Guardia Civil, and provides seven refreshment points alongside support from kayaks, boats and rescue teams. Registration includes a selection process, with participant information and event regulations available through the organisation. The stated participation fee is €350, with an option to pay in instalments. Batalla de Rande also welcomes volunteers, engages with sponsors and collaborators, and shares race results and historical records dating back to 2012.
