Bat Conservation Ireland is a dedicated non-profit organization committed to the conservation and protection of bats and their habitats across Ireland. As the leading authority on bats in the country, their mission encompasses extensive monitoring and research on all Irish bat species to enhance public understanding and appreciation of these vital creatures. They aim for a harmonious coexistence between humans and bats, ensuring effective protection through advocacy and collaboration with state agencies and other organizations.

The charity offers various resources, including publications and guidance on bat conservation practices, while actively engaging the community through events such as bat walks and talks. They also run initiatives like the Summer Bat Count and provide opportunities for volunteering and membership. With a focus on sustainability, Bat Conservation Ireland emphasizes creating roosting environments and provides advice for gardening and farming in ways that support bat populations.
