Batoto, also known as xBato, is a free online reading platform focused on Boys’ Love (BL) manga, manhwa, and manhua, including yaoi, shounen-ai, and danmei. Its catalogue features trending titles, reader favorites, and ongoing series, with new chapters typically appearing the same day as active scanlation groups release them. Readers can browse by genre or title and start reading without creating an account, paying for chapters, or waiting through access timers.

The browser-based reader adapts to different formats: vertical scrolling is used for Korean manhwa and Chinese manhua, while Japanese manga is presented in paginated, right-to-left mode. Reading progress and display preferences can be saved locally in the browser, and mobile-friendly navigation supports reading on phones. Batoto provides fan-translated material rather than officially licensed editions, and availability may vary by location. The platform has no dedicated offline mode. For licensed releases, readers can seek titles through publishers and services such as Seven Seas Entertainment, Yen Press, Lezhin Comics, and Tokyopop.
