Welcome to Base Camp at Battenkill Valley Outdoors (BVO), where adventures begin, end, and are rekindled. Since 2003, we have been offering custom trips, adventures, and memories to outdoor enthusiasts. With over 20 years of prior experience in the paddle sport industry, we decided to bring our expertise to our local area.
At BVO, we offer rentals of canoes, kayaks, rafts, and tubes, as well as sales of canoe and kayak gear, river T-shirts, and more. Our off-grid business is nestled against the hills, adjacent to a State hiking trail, providing outdoor experiences for people of all levels. We also offer vacation getaway lodging through Airbnb.
Our philosophy is to provide knowledgeable and respectful services, never approaching the beautiful Battenkill River as an amusement ride. We provide convenient amenities such as secure parking, change rooms, flush bathrooms, and spacious picnic grounds. Our dedicated staff, including ambitious college students and professional adults experienced in various fields, make all the difference in ensuring a memorable experience for our clientele from around the world.
