BATUZ Gizarte Fundazioa is a Gipuzkoa-based social foundation focused on inclusion, community transformation and sustainability. Formerly known as Emaus Gizarte Fundazioa, it works with public administrations, businesses and community partners to develop services and collaborative projects that respond to local needs. Its social services include day centers, supported housing, residential and overnight accommodation, assessment and diagnostic support, and socio-educational guidance. The foundation also provides accredited, employment-oriented training and individualized employment pathways, combining learning with practical work in logistics, textile and appliance reuse, sewing, cleaning, maintenance and retail.

A core part of its activity is the circular economy. BATUZ operates second-hand shops, collects reusable household goods across much of Gipuzkoa, and prepares textiles, bulky items, and electrical and electronic equipment for reuse. Its community projects address social isolation, participation, culture, inclusion and environmental challenges. Through its services, training programs, volunteering opportunities and partnerships, the foundation aims to improve quality of life, support access to the ordinary labor market, and help build more cohesive and sustainable communities.
