Galerie Baugier presents the work of Marcel Baugier, a French abstract artist born in 1946 who lives and works in Barjols, Provence. The gallery showcases paintings from several decades, including works from the 1980s, 1990s, 2000s and 2010s, as well as serigraphs. Baugier’s practice draws on the landscapes and colors of Provence: its hills, pine trees, earth, ochres and greens inform compositions built through carefully considered planes.
His work moves between landscape and abstraction, seeking to make the unseen perceptible while balancing structural rigor with expressive, sensual color. Rather than repeat a fixed formula, he continues to explore new arrangements and directions across his paintings. Galerie Baugier provides information about the artist’s biography, exhibitions and studio, and offers a way to discover his work.
Selected artworks are also available through the online art platforms Rise Art and Singulart. The gallery is located at 207 Rue des Tanneurs in Barjols, France
