Baxters Gallery is a Dartmouth gallery showcasing contemporary art, printmaking and handmade craft, with a particular passion for ceramics, sculpture and jewellery created in the UK by designer makers. Established in 2006, the gallery is located at the corner of Foss Street and Flavel Street, where its bright, airy space presents work by contemporary artists and makers.
Visitors can explore paintings, original prints, pictures in other media, recycled-material creations, glass, ceramics, sculpture, jewellery and a wide selection of Dartmouth and local art prints. The gallery also offers cards, gifts priced up to £15 and gift cards, with new deliveries arriving regularly. Featured artists and collections include sculptor David Mayne, whose textured laser-cut steel works are made through welding and grinding.
Baxters sells through its website as well as its physical gallery. Customers can choose to collect website orders from the gallery and arrange a convenient collection time. The gallery is open every day, and customers can follow its social media channels or subscribe to its newsletter for news about new products, artists, events and collections.
