Bayer Foundation

The Bayer Foundation is dedicated to catalyzing advances in science and social innovation to create a world with Health for All and Hunger for None. They offer a range of products and services aimed at enhancing the impact of science for the benefit of society. One of their key initiatives is the Fellowships program, which provides outstanding masters, PhD, and medical students with international exchange opportunities in the fields of Drug Discovery, Agriculture, and Medicine.

In 2023, the foundation selected 35 brilliant minds from 13 different countries for this unique experience and provided more than 256,000€ in funding. They also collaborate with Unknown Group to present the Bayer Foundation Women Empowerment Award, recognizing and supporting 15 exceptional female entrepreneurs from the Global South who are driving social change through innovative health, nutrition, and agricultural solutions. Furthermore, as a founding partner of the Female Science Talents program, the foundation aims to promote women with exceptional talents in science, increasing their visibility and helping them achieve personal career breakthroughs.

The Bayer Foundation is also actively involved in building scientific capacity in sub-Saharan Africa through the establishment of Humboldt Research Hubs, which contribute to pandemic preparedness.
