Botswana-Baylor

Botswana Baylor Trust is a public-private partnership that provides state-of-the-art pediatric HIV, oncology, and blood disorder care in Botswana. Established in 2003, it is a collaboration between the government of Botswana and Baylor College of Medicine International Pediatric AIDS Initiative. The trust operates on the campus of Princess Marina Hospital, the largest tertiary care referral hospital in the country.

Botswana Baylor Trust offers comprehensive services at its main clinic in Gaborone and through decentralized outreach services nationwide. It specializes in pediatric HIV and cancer care, supporting children, adolescents, and their families. The Paediatric Haematology and Oncology (PHO) program, supported by the Global HOPE initiative, has significantly improved the care of children with cancer and blood disorders since 2007.

The trust's mission is to provide high-quality comprehensive family-centered health care, education, and clinical research. With a vision of a future where all children live longer and healthier lives, Botswana Baylor Trust is dedicated to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, partnering with organizations like UNICEF and the Botswana government to strengthen implementation and foster global partnerships
