BayREN, or the Bay Area Regional Energy Network, is a coalition of the nine counties in the Bay Area. BayREN offers a range of products and services to help residents, property owners, business owners, and local governments improve the resource-efficiency and carbon footprint of their buildings. They provide rebates, funding, and technical assistance to support energy-saving upgrades and renovations. Since its establishment in 2013, BayREN has achieved significant results.

They have saved 4. 6 million MMBtu of energy, avoided 156 million tons of carbon emissions, and upgraded over 60,000 housing units. Additionally, BayREN has created 12,777 new jobs and saved residents a lifetime utility bill of $85.
