Baza Rodowodowa Posokowców Bawarskich, accessible at www.bazaBGS.com, is a comprehensive online database dedicated to Bavarian Mountain Scenthounds. Established in October 2006, it serves as a vital resource for dog owners, breeders, and enthusiasts to trace and understand the ancestral roots of their dogs. The database compiles information drawn from genealogical tables, stud books, show catalogues, and contributions from individual breeders and owners.

With over 50,000 dogs from 4,373 kennels, Baza BGS promotes a collaborative effort in pedigree research, offering tools for simple and advanced searches, mating tests, and insights into genetic factors. While the database is continuously evolving and not entirely complete, it encourages user contributions to enhance its accuracy and depth. The site is also a hub for discussions and inquiries, fostering a community of dedicated Bavarian Scenthound aficionados. The BazaBGS team is committed to maintaining this resource with care, transparency, and an open invitation for community engagement.
