Blount County Animal Welfare Society (BCAWS) is a dedicated nonprofit organization committed to improving the lives of pets in need throughout Blount County, Tennessee. Focused on enhancing the well-being of outdoor dogs and cats, BCAWS provides essential services such as safe shelter, kenneling, food assistance, and complimentary spay/neuter and rabies vaccination programs. Recognizing that many pets face challenges outside the home, BCAWS ensures they have adequate protection and encourages efforts to keep them in loving environments.

The organization aims to decrease the pet population responsibly while educating the community about the challenges facing outside dogs and promoting the establishment of animal welfare laws. BCAWS thrives on community involvement and support, relying on donations and a volunteer workforce to offer services, including enclosure fencing and medical care for animals in peril. With a clear mission to safeguard companion animals from neglect and cruelty, BCAWS is an invaluable resource for animal welfare advocacy in the area.
