BC Chicken Marketing Board

The British Columbia Chicken Marketing Board (BCCMB) is a non-profit, regulated agricultural commodity authority responsible for overseeing chicken production and marketing in British Columbia. Its jurisdiction covers broiler chicken production from the arrival of day-old chicks on farms. Working with growers, hatcheries, processors, and related organizations, the Board supports the production of fresh, local, reliable, quality chicken for consumers while building public trust in the industry.

The BCCMB’s work includes setting and administering policies, managing industry risks, and upholding national programs for supply management, food safety, and animal welfare. It also provides information and resources for current and prospective growers, including guidance on becoming a licensed broiler grower, small-lot farming, quota use and access, and educational and disease management topics. Public consultations, grower forms, appeals information, annual reports, pricing and general orders, and industry updates are available through its publications and website. The Board shares news and policy notices with subscribers and offers a grower portal, FAQs, and direct contact support for stakeholders and the public.
