About BankwestCurtinEC
Bankwest Curtin Economics Centre (BCEC) is an independent economic and social research organization situated within the Curtin Business School at Curtin University. Established in 2012 with the generous support of Bankwest, a division of the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, BCEC's primary goal is to provide high-quality and accessible research that enhances our understanding of crucial economic and social issues. Through evidence-based analysis and research, BCEC informs policymakers, media, and the wider Australian community about the economic challenges and opportunities facing Western Australia and the nation as a whole.
The center focuses on key areas such as economic forecasting, quantitative modeling, and economic and social policy evaluation. It collaborates with Curtin University, which is renowned for its excellence in economic modeling, public policy research, and trade. By delivering research outcomes that contribute to sustainable and equitable growth, BCEC plays a vital role in shaping economic and social policy debates at both state and federal levels
