BCFFCA

The BC Firefighters Curling Association (BCFFCA) is a British Columbia organization that brings firefighters together through curling, sport, and camaraderie. Established in 1958 as part of the Emergency Services League, it is described as the province’s only remaining firefighters curling league. The association welcomes active-duty, retired, paid, and volunteer firefighters, and encourages participants of all skill levels, including people who have never curled before.

Its activities include a Friday morning curling league at the Royal City Curling Club in New Westminster. Sessions run from October to March, beginning at 9:30 a.m., and are open to firefighters from across the Lower Mainland. The association also invites members to register for the annual BC Firefighters Provincial Championships, with its website sharing information about the 2026 championship and past events. Through league play, provincial competitions, event photos, and updates, BCFFCA offers firefighters opportunities to enjoy curling, build connections, and take part in a long-running community tradition.
