About BC Games
The BC Games Society proudly organizes the BC Winter and BC Summer Games, celebrating sport and community across British Columbia every two years. This festive event unites the province’s top emerging athletes, skilled coaches, and certified officials for four days of spirited competition. Aimed at fostering the development of talent, the Games emphasize individual achievement, community involvement, and the promotion of an active lifestyle.
Founded in 1977, the BC Games have evolved from local participation-focused events to critical platforms for athlete and coach development, paving the way for success at national and international levels. The organization also plays a vital role in preparing Team BC for the Canada Games with a commitment to integrity, collaboration, and excellence.
Standing as a beacon for aspiring athletes, the BC Games have a rich history of alumni competing at prestigious events like the Olympic and Paralympic Games. The Society's vision is clear: to inspire exceptional experiences through sport, ensuring a lasting legacy for future generations.
