The British Columbia Hotel Association (BCHA) is the province-wide voice and support organization for BC’s hotel sector. Established in 1917, it represents the industry through leadership, collaboration, education, and advocacy at federal, provincial, and community levels. BCHA works to advance policy solutions and address key industry priorities, including the cost of doing business, hotel development, short-term rentals, and workforce programs.
The association supports members with practical resources, industry connections, training, and workforce development for hotel teams and leaders. Its education offerings include webinars, recruitment support, accessibility guidance, and tools such as the Hotel Accessibility Playbook. BCHA also connects hotels with programs and trusted partners that can help manage costs and strengthen operations, including health benefits, insurance, loss prevention, energy, sustainability, food purchasing, and property valuation services.
Through events, publications, news updates, and its summit, BCHA shares information and fosters collaboration across the hospitality community. It also promotes member value through preferred suppliers, premier partnerships, and programs designed to support resilience, competitiveness, and progress in British Columbia’s hotel industry.
