The Baptist Convention of New England (BCNE) is a network of evangelical churches across Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine. Despite our diverse age, size, ethnicity, and language, we are united in our commitment to spreading the Gospel. As part of the Southern Baptist Convention, we work together to multiply Christ followers through partnership, equipping, and encouragement.

Our mission is to see more Christ-followers in New England, which has a rich spiritual heritage but faces significant challenges. Around half of the 14. 5 million residents in New England claim to be not very religious, and about 60% seldom or never attend religious services.

Less than 4% of New Englanders are part of an evangelical church, and the region is home to some of America's least religious states and most post-Christian cities. The BCNE was founded in 1983 and now consists of over 365 diverse churches, including Southern Baptist, non-denominational, and evangelical churches. Our strength lies in our unity of faith, love for New England, and desire to spread the Gospel.
