About BC Nurses’ Union
BC Nurses' Union (BCNU) is the dedicated representative of over 48,000 professional nurses and allied healthcare workers across hospitals, long-term care facilities, and communities. Advocating for safe, high-quality public healthcare, we prioritize diversity and uphold protection and services for all members.
Since our inception in February 1981, BCNU has been a trailblazer in the nursing profession, securing significant victories such as a 22% wage increase and wage parity for long-term care nurses during the 1980s.
