BCPI, the Breast Cancer Prevention Institute, is a nonprofit organization committed to reducing breast cancer incidence. Lanfranchi, a breast cancer surgeon, noticed the increasing incidence of breast cancer in young women and aimed to reverse the trend. Dr. Bruchalski and Dr.
Toffler, both medical professionals, recognized the need for their patients to know about breast cancer prevention and were concerned about the lack of available information. The Board of Directors includes various medical experts who have lectured extensively and provided information to national and international governmental bodies, as well as the United Nations. BCPI also conducts research projects, provides educational resources, and publishes original studies in medical literature.
