Branżowe Centrum Umiejętności LIDER dla Hodowli Koni i Jeździectwa

Branżowe Centrum Umiejętności (BCU) LIDER for Horse Breeding and Equestrianism is a specialist training centre based in Buk, Poland. Its mission is to develop professional skills and support workforce preparation for the horse-breeding and equestrian sectors. Established through a project under Poland’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan, the centre combines vocational education with industry cooperation and knowledge-sharing.

BCU LIDER offers courses for young people, adults and vocational education teachers. Its training programme covers horse behaviour, biomechanics, physiotherapy, first aid, professional grooming, hoof care, breeding management, reproduction, nutrition, transport and legal matters relating to horses. The centre also provides riding instruction through its riding school and shares expert materials and industry news.

In partnership with the Wielkopolska Horse Breeders Association, BCU LIDER works to connect educational, scientific and industry communities and tailor training to labour-market needs. Its wider activities include advisory, development and promotional support, as well as international cooperation and exchange of experience. The centre aims to encourage continuing professional learning and strengthen expertise across the horse-breeding and equestrian fields.
